The Vision

In 2000, God began to stir into effect a new vision for Christian education in the Council Bluffs area. With that vision in sight, two schools...Victory Christian School (affiliated with Victory Fellowship) and Loess Hills Christian School (affiliated with Crossroads Christian Center) came together with the dream of a non-denominational, Bible-based school in the Council Bluffs, Iowa area.  In the 2001-2002 school year, that dream became reality with the beginning of Heartland Christian School.

The Reality  

After it's first year, Heartland Christian School leased space for a year and a half before God blessed us with our permanent home here on 400 Wright Road.  We purchased the LakeView Elementary School building from Lewis Central Public School District in December of 2003 (ask us about that experience!!!).  Finally in February 2004, with much excitement, Heartland Christian School moved into their new facility.  With God's provision we have consistently improved the facility with new heating and air-conditioning systems, windows, roofing, and parking lot.  We are gratful for our families that believe in Christian education for their children and are willing to make the sacrifices required to make that goal happen.

God continues to bless HCS with a Godly staff, administrators, and wonderful families and children.
